So you want to learn how to make a website. You want to ditch the website builders for the ultimate freedom, but don’t know what you’re doing. You take a peek into some templates but see nothing but a mess of letters and garbage.

Don’t worry! With time and effort, you’ll be on your feet and making sites like this one—or better—in no time! The art of the website isn’t too complicated to learn once you’ve dipped your toes into it.


So, what’s HTML?

HTML stands for “HyperText Markup Language.” If you think about it, HTML is the “locker” of your website. It holds all the content you’ll display on your corner of the interwebs, and is equally as important as CSS, which you’ll learn about shortly after. For now, we’ll stick with HTML.
